The Harmonic Incubator
$200.00
This is my take on the mysterious Harmonic Percolator, made by Interfax in the early 90s. It's an odd circuit that uses one germanium transistor and one silicon transistor, resulting in asymmetrical clipping. I added a three way toggle that switches between the standard germanium hard clipping and no diode clipping. The middle position disrupts the bias of the circuit, resulting in a squishy, overly compressed tone and feel. Due to the nature of the circuit, this pedal may not work properly in extreme weather conditions and will not like any buffered effects (like your Boss tuner) placed before it. So for best results, place first in your signal chain. Made with top quality components and hardware in Louisville, Ky. Pedal requires standard 9v center negative power supply and does not take a battery.
