The Buzzedrite

My take on the Mosrite Fuzzrite, the original "velcro" fuzz that was so popular with the surf bands of the 60s, particularly The Ventures. There were two versions of the Fuzzrite. The earliest version used germanium transistors, while the later versions used silicon, giving it more gain and its quintessential velcro snarl. With the Buzzedrite, you can choose between germanium or silicon transistors, giving you the best of both worlds. I allow a little more bass to pass through the circuit for a more neutral tone, a popular mod for me with these old circuits, because (I think) a lot of them were designed to cut more bass than the modern guitar player is used to. When these pedals were invented, guitar players were playing through Marshall full stacks or Fender combo amps on ten. They needed to cut through an audience without the modern PA systems we have now. So the bass cut was better suited for the guitar player stacking gain on top of gain. All my fuzzes work great being played through a clean combo amp, making them more usable for the modern gigging guitar player, and the Buzzedrite is no exception. Built with top quality components, Alpha potentiometers, metal film resistors, Neutrik or Switchcraft jacks, a Gorva Design soft click footswitch and a custom designed PCB. Does not Require a battery, operates off a standard 9v center negative power supply, and can be daisy chained with all other center negative polarity effects. Because of its use of germanium transistors, the germanium setting may not work properly in extreme weather conditions, and always place first in your pedal chain for optimal performance.
